Yoga TTC Rules at Om Shanti Om Yogis in Rishikesh, India

• Smoking, alcohol, drugs, meat, fish, eggs, are not allowed.
• The use of mobile phones is only permitted in designated areas outside of class times. Photography, video, audio recording during classes and ceremonies is only possible with the permission of the director.
• No mobile phones permitted in Dining Hall.

Male-Female Relations

To respect the local culture and the yoga tradition, kindly restrain expressions of affection such as hugging or kissing in ashram compound, temples and public. Guests at our school are advised to observe celibacy (brahmacharya) as part of the spiritual discipline.

Attendance

Attendance, at all School activities is mandatory as part of the Yoga school’s programmed. As a mark of respect for the teacher and as a practice of self-discipline, guests are required to be on time and to remain for the duration of each class.

Free Day

Sunday is a free day in our School. Guests are required to attend some class if instructed. Sightseeing and tours are on your own. Meals run as usual (when required).

Silence

Guests are requested to observe silence during meals, before morning Satsang/Prayers and after evening Satsang, during lecture classes. Lights out at 9.00pm ( in your respective accommodation).

Personal Belongings

We do not accept responsibility for guests’ personal belongings.

Duration of Stay

Duration of stay 25 days and night at our Ashrams is required during the training in order to complete the course and receiving certification.

Payment Policy

Full payment of the course is made on arrival and it is non-refundable or non-transferable in the event of early departure.

Yoga Teacher Training: Rules & Regulations

• 1. The total fees should be paid upon registration by filling up the application form upon arrival before the commencement of the course, by CASH or PayPal transfer (including tax).
• 2. Students are advised to obey the School’s rules and regulations throughout the stay in Course.
• 3. All fees paid are NOT refundable or transferable in any reason that students wish to withdraw their course or quit. Alternatively they are allowed to carry forward their course to future session.
• 4. Students are required to submit their passport original and passport size photo to Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram for registration purposes.
• 5. The duration of the course is as referred to their course level such as 100 hours (14 days), 200 hours (25 days), 300 hours (35 days) or 500 hours (55 days).
• 6. During the 3rd week of the course students will be given assignment test and in the last week of the course, a written test as well as practical test.
• 7. On the last day, a closing ceremony “Pooja” will be performed to Lord Ganesha and certificates will be forwarded to the students with flowers and “Prasad”.
• 8. Students should not commit in any other activities during the course.
• 9. In case, any confusion related to the lesson in Hindu Mantra, Philosophy and culture, our knowledgeable and friendly teachers are willing to assist you.
• 10. The TTC schedule will be given before the commencement of the training and 6 - 7 hours of learning session allocated per day for all subjects (except Sunday is free day).
• 11. Students should attend and be punctual to all classes as stated in the daily schedule program without fail unless if such unavoidable cases occur.
• 12. Students are only qualified to receive the Yoga Alliance US certificate if they complete the required hours of course successfully and pass in their test with satisfactory marks.
• 13. Students should obey and follow the respective qualified teachers teaching and instruction for every subjects appointed by Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram without any obligations.
• 14. Students should not consume non-vegetarian food, alcohol and tobacco during the course and hang around till late nights. Students should back to Accommodation (respective accommodation) by 9.00pm.
• 15. Our Yoga School will not take any responsibility for any sort of injuries happened to the students due to yoga asana practice in or outside school during or after the course.
